RipFrame

Where are my recordings?

In Videos\RipFrame unless you chose another folder under Settings → Save to. The folder button on the Recordings tab opens it.

The hotkeys

• F9 — start / stop recording
• F10 — mark a new action (split the recording)
• F8 — save the instant replay (turn it on in Settings)

My MP4 has no sound

Pick an audio source under Settings → Audio before recording (audio is available for MP4 only). For a microphone, also check Windows Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone and allow desktop apps to use it.

Why doesn't RipFrame appear in my recordings?

On purpose — RipFrame hides its own window from screen capture, so only your work shows. It still appears on your screen as normal. This needs Windows 10 version 2004 or later.

Recording feels slow

Instant replay records continuously while it's on; turn it off if you don't need it. The zoom and dim effects also add work — try recording without them.

Windows 10 (version 2004) or Windows 11, 64-bit.
